The pre-loaded songs are categorized into stations based on lyricists, actors, singers, music composers, specials. Each music station can be selected by turning a jog-dial. So literally, with the turn of a knob, you can switch from Kishore Kumar classics, to R.D Burmans pulsating hits, to songs picturised on the Angry young man Amitabh Bachchan and other legends of Hindi Cinema. Carvaan also offers an array of specially curated stations like Romance, Sad, Gurbani, Mangeskars, Kapoors, Ghazal, Bhakti and many more. The Carvaan also houses the entire Ameen Sayanis Geetmala countdown collection spanning 50 years with the option to tune into FM/AM, Carvaan doubles up as your home radio too. You can also enjoy your personal collection of songs by plugging in a USB drive. Alternatively, you can connect your phone or tablet to Carvaan using Bluetooth or an AUX IN cable. You can download the Saregama Carvaan app on your Android or iOS mobile phone to view the entire list of 5000 songs on Carvaan, search a song, artiste or album, create playlists with your favourite songs. Carvaan works on a rechargeable battery that lasts for approximately 5 hours. Saregama Carvaan is now out with its Premium variant. All the new features of Carvaan Premium are based on consumer feedback collected over the last few months. The most notable addition is a companion app (iOS and Android) that allows users to choose the song they want to hear or create their own playlist on Carvaan. Carvaan Premium now offers 50+ new stations dedicated to artistes like Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, Rishi Kapoor etc. This in addition to the 80+ stations dedicated to the singers, lyricist and music composers in the flagship Carvaan. Now with an additional feature of AM radio one can hear both FM/AM on Carvaan Premium doubling it up as a home radio.
